Our Story
The Original Name
In 1955, our grandfather opened a small tea stall in Faridkot, India called 'Lal Chand di Hatti.' It grew into Chhabra Sweets, a beloved neighbourhood institution. Decades and two continents later, we've brought his name to Brampton. Lal Chand Bakery & Cafe is our way of honouring where it all started.
Three Generations Later
From Indian sweets to custom cakes, the craft has evolved but the standards haven't. Our founder trained in food technology and professional kitchens before bringing the family's expertise to Canada. Today the menu blends custom and eggless cakes, classic mithai, cafe favourites like samosas and pastries, and festive specials for every celebration.
